Grace Primary Care now offers the following testing:
CGx: Testing that targets the most important genes associated with breast, colon, pancreatic, gynecological and melanoma cancers. These tests are ordered frequently by oncologists, as well as family doctors and internal medicine doctors that are primary care physicians and with patients with at-risk family histories.
Neurodegenerative Disease NGS Panel: Hereditary Neurodegenerative panel, which examines 161 genes associated with an increased risk of developing neurodegenerative disorders and detects both the diagnostic and risk factor genes for Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and more.
NGS Panel: Thyroid Genetics Test examines genetic changes that are relevant for hypothyroidism, thyroid hormone resistance, and thyroid risk panel. This NGS panel consists of 45 genes. These are listed in the table along with the disease-related conditions.
Pulmonary NGS Panel: Pulmonary diseases, also known as lung disorders and respiratory diseases, affect the lung and other parts of the respiratory system. Pulmonary diseases may be caused by infection, breathing in tobacco smoke or other forms of air pollution, or genetic variations, which are associated with inherited/genetic pulmonary diseases.
The most common genetic respiratory disease is cystic fibrosis, which affects the airways. Other examples of genetic pulmonary diseases include primary ciliary dyskinesia, tuberous sclerosis, Birt-Hogg-Dube syndrome, among many others.
Thyroid Genetics NGS Panel: Thyroid Genetics Test examines genetic changes that are relevant for hypothyroidism, thyroid hormone resistance, and thyroid risk panel. This NGS panel consists of 45 genes.
Metabolic Disorders Panel: Comprehensive Metabolism-associated gene panel consists of 199 genes, and mutations found in these genes are known to be involved in various monogenetic metabolic disorders in patients. Identification of causative mutations helps timely treatment. Specifically, these gene mutations produce non-functional enzymes in key metabolic pathways of energy usage, storage, and converting branches. As a result of these non-functional enzymes, metabolic intermediate toxic products accumulate in patients and cause various metabolic syndromes.
Primary Immunodeficiency NGS Panel: his gene panel helps in the diagnosis of autoimmune diseases, and in complex clinical cases, helps distinguish between diseases with overlapping symptoms to aid in risk assessment.3 This panel tests for diseases including HIV, Pneumocystosis, Nezelof’s Syndrome, Pancytopenia, Myelofibrosis, and more.
Eye Disorder NGS Panel: consist of multiple panels for various eye disorders including, but not limited to retinal disorders, optic nerve disorders, corneal diseases, structural diseases, eye movement diseases, glaucoma, cataract, and myopia.
Cardiopulmonary NGS Panel: Cardiopulmonary syndromes are conditions of the heart and lung. These organs are closely connected, and a problem in one can spill over to the other. For example, when the heart is not able to pump blood efficiently, normal oxygen movement in the lungs is reduced, causing shortness of breath. On the other hand, a problem with the lungs can cause the heart to work harder to get oxygen from the lungs into the blood.
Pharmacogenetic NGS Panel: pharmacogenetic testing service, PGx Testing, uses a patient’s genes to determine how they will respond to a particular medicine or a combination of medicines and identifies their unique sensitivities to possible drug effects. As a result, healthcare providers can minimize or completely avoid trial-and-error dosing and substantially reduce the risk of potential adverse drug events.

Regular health checks can help to identify early warning signs of disease or illness. Heart disease, diabetes and some cancers can often be picked up in their early stages, when treatment may be more successful.
When you have a check, your doctor will talk to you about your medical history, your family’s history of disease and your lifestyle. Your diet, weight, how much you exercise, and whether or not you smoke and drink alcohol or take illegal drugs will also be discussed.
If you have high-risk factors, such as a family history of a condition, it may be more likely that you will develop a particular disease. Regular checks may help your doctor pick up early warning signs.
If you have a high risk of a particular health condition, your doctor may recommend more frequent health checks at an earlier age.
These are some common tests, but your doctor may recommend others according to your situation.
We offer cash pay prices for patients that do not have health care coverage.

Also called pre-participation physical examinations (PPE), sports physicals are usually a part of registering youths for participation in a sport. Organizers generally require an evaluation for children to participate. Regulations vary according to the rules of the respective state, school or a sport's governing body.
A PPE helps to assure that the athlete is healthy and physically ready for their chosen activity such as baseball, football, soccer or track. Before registering, check with the organizers about their eligibility requirements. The purpose of the PPE is to help minimize the risk of injury while your child plays.
A sports physical exam is not intended to replace a comprehensive annual wellness exam and other screenings.
A school physical exam assesses your child’s overall health and development and serves as an annual check-in with their pediatrician. During this exam, the pediatrician will evaluate the child’s physical and mental readiness for school. This exam can check for any new or existing health issues, plus any concerns with development that may impact whether they need additional physical, behavioral and/or learning interventions or support in the school environment.
When does my child need a physical to start school?
It’s a good rule of thumb to see your child’s pediatrician every year before school starts. However, many states require school physicals by law, depending on a child’s age. Check with your child’s school district about when and how often they need to complete a school physical. Your child also will need to receive immunizations required by law to attend school. The school physical is a great time to ensure they are up to date on vaccinations.
What happens during a school physical exam?
Patients must bring any forms required by your school or organization. You and your parent/guardian must fill in the necessary fields before your visit.

A Department of Transportation (DOT) physical is a physical exam that is required of people who drive commercial vehicles. The point of a DOT physical is to make sure that people who are driving commercial motor vehicles (CMVs), such as large trucks and buses, are physically, mentally, and emotionally fit. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requires this testing for the safety of the public.
You will need a DOT physical if you:
If you pass your DOT physical, you’ll receive a Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC), also known as your DOT medical card. This certification, along with your commercial driver’s license (CDL), allows you to drive a commercial vehicle for 2 years, provided you have no underlying physical or mental condition that requires testing more often.
Medical conditions that require you to have an annual DOT physical include:
If you have a medical condition such as very high blood pressure, you may be required to have physicals every 3 months while you undergo medical treatment to correct or manage the issue.
The health care provider who performs your DOT physical will ask you detailed questions about your medical history, including:
You will have a hands-on physical that includes checking your:

While impacting people of all ages, the viruses causing COVID-19, RSV disease, and the flu render the following populations especially vulnerable: children, the elderly, those who are immunocompromised, and people with underlying conditions. Coughing, sneezing, and potential contact with virus-contaminated surfaces all contribute to virus spread.
Often spiking during the winter season, COVID-19, RSV disease and the flu are contagious respiratory illnesses that share many of the same symptoms. The three illnesses could possibly seasonally surge, posing a triple threat to you and your family.
We offer the Multiplex Test PCR
A PCR multiplex test will empower your provider to detect and differentiate between COVID-19, Flu A, Flu B, and RSV with a single nasal swab.
Group A Streptococcus with a single throat swab.
